I am Aki from Micro Technology who provides IoT PF powered by C8Y IoT on AWS Japan region.
Regarding csv download function with C8Y IoT, Japanese UTF-8 characters in downloaded csv appear with garbled characters. While Shift_JIS is required for Japanese characters with Windows, SAG Support team says Shift_JIS is not currently supported in C8Y IoT. So, one of our customer requests to disable “Download as CSV”. It would be great if we could change the able/disable in each tenant. Is it possible to implement it?

Dear Aki, thanks a lot for your feedback. Unfortunately, we currently do not plan to add the option to disable the "Download as CSV" button.
However, after speaking to the development team, you could use a custom CSS configuration that can be e.g. provided with the extraCssUrls https://cumulocity.com/guides/web/application-configuration/#branding-options to hide the button in the UI.
In your case you could add the following style: "button[title='Download as CSV'] { dispaly: none }"
However, this would only work in the case the platform is used in English language for hiding the button in other languages you would need to translate the title accordingly.
Based on your request, we added an idea to our backlog to allow to configure custom css configuration through the branding ui.
