Currently, role based access permissions within Cumulocity do not provide granular enough control over which smart rules a user can create. Given that certain smart rules result in billable events while other do not, it is desired to be able to control which smart rules a user instantiate via role permissions.
Hi Nick, Thank you for raising this idea and we appreciate that a more granular approach to which smart rules a user can use would be helpful. However the current architecture does not easily support this and increasing granularity we consider will have a detrimental impact on performance.
We have marked this Idea as unlikely to implement but should the situation change, for instance a re-architect of the smart rules, we will take this Idea into consideration.
