Device profiles are observed to hold the deleted files/configurations without any notification/warning to the user. This, in-turn, causes unnecessary confusions/issues for the devices assigned with such device profiles.
It is highly desirable that such device profiles should display some sort of warning/notifications for the user to address/update the necessary(deleted) files/configurations in the profile.
Suggestion:
Upon deletion of firmware/software/configuration files should also check and warn the user if they are used in any existing device profiles
To display a visual warning that a profiles component does not exist upon accessing device profiles(as from point 1)

Hi Mohammed,
Thank you for sharing this idea. Unfortunately, this seems to be a quite complex topic as we would first need to come up with a new approach on how to manage links between inventory objects while ensuring their consistency. We will therefore not be able to address this in the near future. However, this is very valuable feedback once we are able to work on a solution covering not only this use-case but managing inventory object relationships in general.
Best regards,
Aaron
