with UI 10.15.0.300 the datapoint selection is heavily changed. now child device are not fully readable in case of long names. the full child device name is shown only when hovering over it.
we name child devices by using device name + device protocol name

Although we may not be able to increase the modal size, we have identified that the search/filter functionality is missing from this window when the data point selector is used within a specific group or asset. I have raised an internal ticket (IOT-17899) to address this issue.
This improvement will enable you to easily identify the correct device by utilizing the search function within the same modal.
