LwM2M – Support for version 1.2

While several C8Y competing, products are supporting LwM2M version 1.2 features (AVSystems, Ioterop, Friendly Technologies...), SAG's C8Y is lagging and has not yet released LwM2M 1.2 support. The following 1.2 features are increasingly becoming important to Itron:

  1. Gateway support – A few projects are considering this for multi-protocol support.

  2. TLS/DTLS 1.3 support – Better performance and security.

  3. The addition of MQTT and HTTP-based transport to LwM2M

It would be great to see a commitment (i.e. a roadmap with dates) from SAG for the support of LwM2M version 1.2.

    Hi Iain,

    the Leshan stack unfortunately does not support any 1.2 features yet. However, it would be great if you can tell us a bit more about why each of these items are required for your side and in which context/for which use-case. We would like to take this into consideration when deciding on priorities.
