If we look now in the possibilities for monitoring in Cumulocity. It is not possible to see when Requests from or to the platform have an above average rate. The API Calls are not monitored respectively it is not easy possible to see differences. For example if a Device should send one message in an hour but is sending messages per secound. The behavior of one Device is not right. But this behavior could not be as easy to find as it should be. It is not possible to check manuelly all devices for wrong behavior.
We are currently looking into how to provide greater transparency with device statistics, including being able to identify devices based on how much data they have sent to the platform. I will reach out as soon as I have a design or implementation worth collecting feedback on. Many thanks for submitting this idea!
