Platform connects devices with closed network.

We would like to use private network access to CUMoNoSU. Once of MVNO provides us with the private network access to AWS as follows: https://www.soracom.io/products/canal/. The service is called Soracom Canal which allows its SIM to connect to AWS VPC. As far as I know, CUMoNoSU (Cumulocity) is using AWS VPC and wondering if Soracom Canal is available with CUMoNoSU. Since some customers are sensitive to security, CUMoNoSU should have an option for closed network. As this request is based on our customer request, it would be great if you could give us your feedback on this request.

    Hi Aki,

    thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, we currently don't plan to offer a VPN interconnection as a productized feature as in our experience, interconnecting VPN's is a lot of work and causing problems. In addition IP range management is difficult (or partially even impossible) in a multi-tenant environment. As you are owning a dedicated instance, I will ask the Operations team to have a look into Soracom Canal to evaluate whether they can provide the VPN integration as a managed service for you.

    Please note that in the Administration Application in the Settings -> Application -> Access Control section you can already whiteliste specific domains. Please be careful when trying out this feature as with a wrong configuration you can lock yourself out from the Tenant.
