Deutsche Telekom's enterprise customers are very often asking whether we (Managed Services) can restore their tenant from the database. While this is not entirely technically impossible, we often refuse this request because snipping individual tenant from database backup and importing it in a live database means a downtime for the database.
There are several possible use cases of such feature (especially for enterprise customers):
Enterprise customer leaves and wants to receive their device data
Restoring historical data for a tenant
Restoring entire tenants when data has been corrupted, or in case of manual error
We will look to update the Operations Manual to make this process easier
