Request to add lastlogin information and filter in Administration Users area

Dear all,

we would like to raise a request to add a lastlogin information and filter possibility into the Administration Area → Users

As we have done user audits recently, we cannot proceed with the number of users like this.

And the fluctuation is relative high, people leaving and their accounts remain in C8Y.

We would need something like this. Afaik the lastlogin information is available in C8Y db. - can be found in the audit logs - user login. But there it is not useable for checking the users directly.

Please see the attached picture, how it could be.

To ease up the request, we had asked this first via managed service :)

Pleaes find the answer from Global support + RND

(related to our ticket with managed service https://dm-collaboration.atlassian.net/browse/ISD-262 )

Global Support have came back again and they will close the ticket on their end - the essence of their resolution is to log Aha! request for a feature, which we dont know if it would take few months or few years. Here is the final info from the GS ticket:

Resolution: -

  1. We do not have a way currently to display last login information in the Users section of UI in Admin app. It is available in an unsorted way in the Audit logs. In addition, along with DB, it is also displayed in the access logs i.e. "/var/log/nginx/access.log" contains like this.

3b7cd61c606a90852415477c42b1eae6 - 176.95.87.4 - - [12/Jan/2023:08:16:50 +0000] "POST /user/logout HTTP/1.1" 200 0 "https://*.com/apps/*/index.htmll" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/108.0.0.0 Safari/537.36 Edg/108.0.1462.54" "10.50.3.5:8181" 0.000 0.003 758 0.003

So it is logged with "POST /user/logout".

For the display in the desired section in UI, kindly raise a feature request in AHA.

  1. At the moment, the only way to check the last login is to filter audit logs. There will be information about logging in using SSO or oai-secure. Currently, we have no plans to introduce such a feature.

Therefore, we recommend raising a feature request in AHA; as it is the way to take this request forward for customer's purpose.

So here we are in AHA :)

The way via logs is not good for the purpose to survey the colleagues.

Only limited amount of users can get access to Administration area, due to Datenschutz / data security... etc. And also we do not want to many admins!

It needs to be quickly visible. Also helps troubleshooting users, if they had ever logged in or not.

    Hi Emil,

We have not had the space in the backlog to prioritize this yet.

    Regards, Jane.

    Hello Jane, product team,

Any news on this idea and when is it going to be implemented? I see it is a must have with status likely to be implemented but there is no associated RnD ticket or any info since it was reported 9 months ago
