Itron is using the C8Y Notifications API for LwM2M messaging integrations to upstream systems. Currently, only API Version 1 is available with C8Y Operations message type support (needed for LwM2M messages), but it is limited to 50 transactions per second. API Version 2.0 adds scalability handling and supports many other C8Y message types e.g. alarms, events & measurements, but doesn’t yet support operations messages. Can operations messages be added please.

My apologies for the lack of a response other than we plan to implement tenant context for the Notification v2 API. The pre-req for this capability is providing monitoring and management capabilities for users; this will allow each tenant to ensure that any badly behaved publisher or consumer can be quickly identified and dealt with, as well as management of messages on topics. Once this work is done we will be able to add tenant context to the Notification v.2 API. We do not yet have a delivery timeline.

As per Itron/SAG call 1-31-24, are there any updates on the feature design? Notably this will become a scalability issue.
